Crystal Caverns Map

A: The Crystal Woods - The Crystal Woods is an amazing place for both the seasoned and first time explorer. Explorers should expect to hear an odd ethereal noise as the wind blows through the crystal like structures among the trees. While still an untamed area, the denizens of this area are for the most part friendly, including the ever-helpful purrwings and the fox-like Vixies. Please note: caution should be taken when walking through any stray sunbeams in this area; the crystalline structures of these woods do sometime act like magnifying glass, and you could get more than just a suntan!

B: The Lava Pits - Be cautious of the Lava Pits, this is a very treacherous area of loose and melting rock. This area is for the experienced explorer who is willing to risk the rocky crags and steaming vents. However, for those that are willing to accept these risks the rewards are many as this is the home of a very rare and mysterious blazing dragon type creature. Please note: The lure of learning more about these creatures have been the bane of more than one explorer. The bubbling pools of lava surrounding the area are a little intimidating, and the air is hot and moist on your skin, but it has it's own strange beauty this place. Something about the perfect balance of the reds, oranges, browns and blacks.

C: The Crystal Caverns - The Crystal Caverns are the heart of this realm. Guarded by the Crystal Wood and fed by the Veiled Waters, this location is home to both the shy Crystalline dragons and sprightly, (and mischevious) Starlazan. The crystals within the caverns create pure tones if struck and the many faceted crystals create a spectacle of colors. The source of light within this cavern remains unknown. Explorers are warned not to be too enthralled by the beauty of these crystals; you would not want to become encased within a soul crystal yourself!

D: The Emerald Fields - The dense grassy area of the Emerald Fields is an excellent place for the novice explorer and one of the only areas where you can view the playful wolf-like Howlixies. (Caution should be exercised as these creature roam and hunt in packs.) The striking emerald green grasses of this area have a very energizing fragrance and are soft textured, making exploration of this area a very enjoyable outing. Although there are no reports of it yet, it is theorized that this area would be a-washed in colorful flowers during the spring.

E: The Veiled Waters - The Veiled Waters have two distinct areas, the clear cool waters near the shores of the Emerald Fields and the lovely mesmerizing effervescent falls. It has been rumored that these waters are home to a curious but elusive and shy horned water creature, known as the Ariessea. The experienced explorer will know to come well prepared for an underwater adventure. This area shows off its true beauty at sunrise and sunset as the sky's colors play off the water's surface. Remember to use caution near the undertow of the falls, one can forget the danger while enjoying the view.

F: The Defilement - The Defilement, an area of defiling dark smog that has been noticed creeping in at the edges of the Crystal Caverns, is the most dangerous of locations. The most brave (and some just lucky) explorers have told stories that within these regions the most evil and unnatural creatures dwell. This defiling dark has been found in breeding circles, and only through the miracle of the cleansing flower can the defilement that has crept in be removed. Some wonder if this is not just some new and exciting development of evolution, but most sane explorers are fighting to find a way to turn it back, or at least keep it at bay.

G: The Moonlit Pools - The Moonlit Pools are a truly wondrous sight to behold, there is nothing dark and dank about these mushroom gardens. Mushrooms of every size, and dazzling color await the explorer with enough luck and care to find their way.  Home to the gentle Fungisaurs, these giant caretakers guard over the mushrooms, which are essential to all new developing spirits. Every explorer and breeder should take a trip to this location at least once in their life, if for nothing more than to thank these marvelous creatures in person. Of course, they will most likely allow you to bring home samples. :)
